K9 Grants for all Law Enforcement

It is an indisputable fact that K9 Officers perform many tasks faster and more reliably than a human.  Those tasks include:
·         explosive detection,
·         suspect apprehension and escort,
·         missing person recovery,
·         narcotic detection,
·         article search and evidence gathering,
Another indisputable fact, though unfortunate, is due to a deficiency of funding, many law enforcement agencies and schools cannot afford a trained K9 Officer.  The average cost of a certified K9 Officer ranges from $10,000 to in excess of $20,000.
This upfront cost often prevents law enforcement agencies and schools from adding one or more certified K9 Officers to serve and protect, even though the return on investment of K9 units is significant.
K9 Officers can continue to serve their community for the remainder of their careers, up to 8 years, and usually pay for themselves in their first month on duty.
K9s for LAW, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit, provides grants for trained and certified K9 Officers.  The grants are made available from the generous donations of caring citizens and companies.
Our mission is to help protect our communities ... one K9 Officer at a time. The men and woman that protect us are asking for our help. They are requesting a partner, a dog. K9s for LAW because Officers shouldn't have to fight crime alone.
